The Corner adds Planet League to rapidly growing portfolio

London-based creative agency The Corner has been appointed as the Planet League’s new agency of record without a pitch, marking The Corner’s third new business contract this year after securing the Sofology and Airband accounts.

As a behavioural tech business, the Planet League is aiming to encourage football fans to carry out a greater number of green actions by competing in the name of their favourite football team, with each action equalling a goal scored.

The Planet League currently offers users the chance to engage in over 100 green activities and has the backing of 73 professional football clubs, including 17 in the Premier League.

The Corner Agency’s remit began by implementing an extensive rebrand from the Planet Super League to its current format alongside a new visual identity. The agency will also begin working on developing the brand’s marketing communications in a bid to expand its brand presence.

“Planet League is a brilliantly important concept – harnessing the passion of football fans to deliver environmental behaviour change. Lovely new brand design, and even lovelier clients,” The Corner CEO and founding partner, Neil Simpson said.

Planet League CEO, Tom Gribbin added: “The Corner have delivered the perfect ball into the box and then smashed it in the top corner. They’ve played a stormer. With speed, guile and creativity they have transformed our brand and propelled us into the big leagues.”
