Tripadvisor launches in-house creative and content studio

Online travel firm Tripadvisor has this week launched a new, in-house creative and content studio, Wanderlab, with its headquarters in New York City’s SoHo district.

Operating as an independent studio, Wanderlab will from Tripadvisor’s extensive first party data reserves, company resources and personnel.

The new agency’s creative remit will include a wide range of media, from sponsored brand and editorial content on the Tripadvisor platform, to influencer and social-first activations, interactive video and voice experiences.

Wanderlust will be placed under the guidance of Tripadvisor Media’s vice president and general manager, Christine Maguire, benefitting from the skills of a global team of strategists, creatives, designers and content specialists.

“Tripadvisor’s wealth of traveler insights sits at the heart of Wanderlab,” Maguire said.

“No one knows the world’s experience seekers like we do. We see an opportunity to create a more efficient media marketplace where we connect the right advertisers with the right consumers through inspiring and relevant creative, powered by global insights.”

The agency’s first creative venture comes in the form a mini documentary that explores travel through the eyes of Generation Z, directed by Andrew Stephan.
