Talksport unveils 50ft Shoreditch mural to promote ‘wall-to-wall’ World Cup coverage

Talksport has unveiled a 50ft mural in Shoreditch to promote its ‘wall-to-wall’ coverage of the upcoming 2022 FIFA World cup in Qatar.

Developed in partnership with News UK’s in-house agency Pulse Creative and hand-painted by advertising specialist Global Street Art, the out-of-home campaign aims to promote the radio station’s extensive coverage of the tournament, with live commentaries of every game available across its platform.

“For the duration of the World Cup, Talksport will be the only broadcaster that will provide 24/7 coverage of the tournament. Our bold ‘Wall-to-Wall’ campaign will celebrate this message in a way only Talksport can,” News Broadcasting head of marketing, Will Martin said.

“Our mural will kick things off and set the tone for the rest of the campaign, leaving our listeners in no doubt who they need to turn to for the best World Cup coverage with the best talent in the game.”

The campaign’s flagship asset is set to be supported by social media, press and digital activity. A series of short films featuring Talksport presenters Alan Brazil and Ally McCoist will additionally be released to bring the mural to a wider audience.

Pulse executive creative director, Russell Ramsay added: “We wanted to capture the excitement of the World Cup and talkSPORT’s unique always on coverage. It’s literally Wall-to-Wall.”
