Samsung and Talksport launch World Cup fan experience pod at King’s Cross

Samsung has teamed up with sports radio station Talksport to launch an exclusive Neo QLED viewing pod at the Korean outfit’s KY experience space in King’s Cross, London.

Set to run until Sunday, 18 December, coinciding with the World Cup final, the activation will give fans the chance to watch matches on Samsung’s state-of-the-art QN800B TV.

“Through our collaboration with talkSPORT, one of the leading media outlets for sport in the UK, we hope to attract new and existing consumers to enjoy the benefits of our Neo QLED viewing experience and the award-winning Quantum Dot technology featured inside it,” Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland marketing director TV/AV, Zeena Hill said.

The collaboration will also see Samsung sponsor Talksport’s ‘World Cup Gameday’ podcast, with the broadcast team even set to record episodes from within the pod itself.

Talksport Fan Network head, Daniel Dawson added: “It’s been a privilege and a pleasure to work with Samsung on this project. Together we are creating a new-level experience for football fans who want the very best experience across all the action.”
