Hugo Boss appoints JD Sports executive as its senior VP of global marketing

Hugo Boss has appointed Nadia Kokni as its new senior vice president of global marketing.

Joining the fashion brand in January, she will take over from Miah Sullivan who leaves to start her own ‘brand heat agency’ with Trey Laird, founder of Laird + Partners. Sullivan and Laird are attributed with being the co-architects of the Hugo Boss campaigns that were introduced as a part of the company’s global brand refresh earlier this year.

The brand’s new senior vice president of global marketing Nadia Kokni, has been working as a global group marketing director and chief marketing officer for JD Sports since early 2021. Prior to her time at the sports brand, which recently unveiled an augmented reality (AR) arcade machine game at its Oxford Street store, Kokni held senior marketing roles at Bacardi, Adidas, H&M and Tommy Hilfiger.

“Miah has been one of the key players in repositioning the Boss and Hugo brands in the global fashion market, and also a major contributor to the new ‘social first’ approach within our campaigns. We would like to thank Miah for her great contribution, and look forward to continuing to work closely with her in the future,” Hugo Boss chief executive, Daniel Grieder, said.

“At the same time, we are very happy that Nadia is joining Hugo Boss. With her extensive experience at several global fashion companies, she will support us in further increasing our brand relevance and becoming one of the top 100 brands worldwide.”
