IRI names former Amazon Advertising lead to expand European operations

Market research firm IRI has today (12 January) named former Amazon advertising leader Florian Clemens as its new vice-president of advertisers and agencies EMEA.

In his new role, Clemens will be primarily focused on working with brands and their media agencies across the EMEA region, leveraging IRI’s data and insights expertise to optimise their media plans.

“Consumer shopping habits, digital transformation and privacy changes have created a challenging environment for media planning, buying and execution. In a world where performance KPIs dominate advertisers’ judgement, the need for data, insight and connected systems has become vital for ensuring the most effective decision making,” IRI executive vice-president head of Global Media Solutions, Jennifer Pelino said.

“Marketing professionals in EMEA need to respond to these challenges with trusted data, analytics and technology. IRI’s media solutions offer powerful stand-alone products but become game changing when used in combination to provide closed-loop attribution. We welcome Clemens to the team.”

Clemens joins IRI from his previous role as head of global accounts at Amazon Advertising, having spent close to nine years with the e-commerce giant. Prior to joining Amazon, Clemens had also held senior leadership roles at major global firms Procter & Gamble and Danone.
