BrewDog bring back £5k Gold Cans hunt for third year

Beer brand BrewDog has brought back its Gold Cans can competition for another year, offering customers the chance to win £5,000 cash.

To win prizes, customers must find one of the limited edition cans to win the cash prize, alongside a gold-plated memento – in what is the competition’s third iteration.




In-store activations at BrewDog bars will allow punters to win ‘Gold Pints’, as well as many other prizes scratch cards for those spending £10 or more.

“Given that our previous Gold Can competitions were such plain sailing, it was the logical next step to do it all over again. That, and the fact that we had too many of these cans taking up space in the office,” BrewDog CEO, James Watt said.

“This time around, though, I’m keen to avoid forking out another half a million quid, so I’ll say it loud for the people at the back: these cans are gold plated, not solid gold! I hope that’s crystal clear. Disclaimer: there are no crystals available in these cans either.”
