Amazon unveils quirky nursery rhyme-inspired spot for its home insurance offering

Tech giant Amazon is promoting its ‘Insurance Store’ offering with a nursery rhyme-inspired spot developed by London-based independent creative agency Joint.

Titled ‘Moving In’, the 30-second spot features a woman moving into a house-sized shoe – clearly mirroring the historic nursery rhyme “There was an Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe”.

Directed by Nick Gordon through Somesuch and created by Nathan Holley and Tom Cauvain, the campaign will be pushed out via TV, out-of-home, social and digital.

Showcasing the ease with which customers can shop for home insurance providers by using the e-commerce firm, the creative is centred around the strapline: “Shop home insurance like you shop Amazon.”

The campaign follows Amazon’s recent half-year results, when it registered impressive growth of 11% in the second quarter – underpinned by the runaway success of its advertising division.
