Tom Morton moves on from R/GA after 8 ‘remarkable’ years

Tom Morton has left his role at IPG-owned agency R/GA where he was most recently global chief strategy officer, having worked in various roles at the company since 2016.

Writing about his departure in a LinkedIn post he said: “After eight remarkable years, I’m moving on from R/GA. I’m so proud of what we did in that time.”

“We took the future seriously, researching the next generation of sports fans, enabling brands to serve gamers better, developing patent trackers for clients that competed against technologies, designing brands to win with new customers and technologies.”

He added: “There is always a next chapter to the story. I will be writing, consulting, helping others to build bigger, better futures for businesses and brands. Forward always.”

In addition, he thanked Bob Greenberg, Barry Wacksman, Nick Law and Sean Lyons for providing him with the “career defining opportunity”.

He also thanked Robin Forbes, Tiffany Rolfe, Saulo Rodrigues, Nick Coronges, Melissa Jackson Parsey, Alex Sehnaoui, Angie Hannam, Paul Turzio and Rebecca Bezzina for acting as working partners during his time at the agency.

He named Airbnb, Amazon, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, Samsung, Twitter, Uber and Verizon among his key clients.

His previous roles include Chief Strategy Officer at Publicis in London, before he moved to New York to work with Havas and then co-Collective as Chief Strategy Officer.
