Watch: TUI’s talking bags turn on the charm in airport spot

TUI has shared a set of social-first films in which an array of very British talking bags espouse the virtues of the brand’s holiday offerings.

Created by agency of record Leo Burnett, the 20-second idents – entitled ‘Book Happy with lots of reasons to choose TUI’ – will span VOD, social and online channels across Europe and will run from throughout the summer, until 31 August.

The first talking bag spot covers family hotels, with a roaring dinosaur bag that cannot be tamed mirroring the energy of an over-excited child as a more practical ‘mother’ suitcase learns about family-friendly holidays (and yearns for the spa which is on offer).

A second video highlights the different range of holidays offered by TUI,  with a beach bag being enticed by a snowboarding bag as their owners wheel them through the airport.

The third ad addresses the short journey times on offer – which a tired looking and grumpy bag seems like it could make use of next time.

The media buying agency was Essence Mediacom and the production agency was Unit 9.

It comes after TUI recently updated its in-flight safety film by re-imagining the concept through a series of vignettes celebrating the world of cinema.

The travel brand shared its first ever Christmas ad by Leo Burnett last year, centring Elves who had managed to break free from hard work.
