Channel 4 taps Amazing Spaces’ George Clarke for new green-focused ScottishPower spot

Channel 4’s newly formed Creative Solutions is bringing on board Amazing Spaces presenter George Clarke for a new ScottishPower spot that builds on the design show’s premise to show off how people can elevate their homes through green, smart energy solutions.

The campaign, entitled ‘George Clarke’s Amazing ‘Green’ Spaces’, will launch during the new series of Amazing Spaces which premieres tonight (20 June) at 9pm.

A 60-second and a 30-second film will play out during home programming across Channel 4, More 4 and Channel 4 Streaming.

The concept, which brings together the Channel 4 Show with Scottish Power’s approach to helping customers integrate smart solutions, builds on the energy firm’s green journey, with its announcement in 2018 that it was the first integrated company in the UK to generate 100% green energy.

Conceptualised by the Channel 4 Creative Solutions team and produced by Recipe, the spot is being delivered in conjunction with Carat.

“This partnership brings together everything we’re striving to do for customers at ScottishPower – helping people make their homes a little greener at an affordable price,” said ScottishPower sales and marketing director Mark Bowen.

He added: “People are increasingly keen to combine energy efficiency and smart solutions with their wider home improvement plans and this partnership highlights how ScottishPower can help them transform their homes into amazing green spaces.”

Oher recent advertising spots which have made a splash across the broadcaster included T&Pm’s E45 spot which won its Diversity in Advertising Award, and a recent mural springing up across Brixton and beyond to highlight the new series of Queenie.
