VCCP snaps up five creative hires from rival agencies

VCCP has invited made five new hires as it looks to expand its growing creative team, after winning a recent set of accounts including Co-Op, Primark, Keep Britain Tidy, Chilly’s and Allwyn.

Joining the agency are creative director Nikki Lindman and midweight creative teams Sam Adio and Ken Abalos, as well as Alice Marani and Katy Stanage.

Joining from Anomaly London, where she was group creative director, Lindman has more than 16 years under her career, with a host of awards including Cannes Lions.

“I’ve wanted to work with VCCP for ages, so I’m quite relieved they’ve finally let me inside the building. Tickled pink to be making iconic, funny, creative and populist work with this extremely nice, talented bunch,” Lindman said about her appointment.

Adio and Abalos – who describe themselves as creatives who “skipped ad school” – are joining from Havas London.

Meanwhile Marani and Stanage, who were responsible for shaving Tom Ellis’ face remotely for an EE ad and have worked on some of the UK’s most-loved brands including Robinsons and BHF,  both join from Ogilvy UK having started out at Saatchi & Saatchi.

Speaking about the appointments VCCP executive creative directors Jonathan Parker and Chris Birch said: “2024 continues to enthral and indeed, knacker us right out, so it’s brilliant that such loud, talented, funny and downright forceful creatives are joining the glorious chaos here at VCCP.”

“They’re all getting massively stuck in, raiding the WhiteClaw fridge and building on their wicked portfolios already – so we’re bloody chuffed and lucky to have such lovely talented people,” they continued.
