RAPP appoints UK and US CMOs in international growth push

RAPP has appointed UK and US CMOs in an international growth push, marking a pivotal moment in the agency’s commitment to building a more connected global network.

The next-gen marketing agency has promoted Ludovic Gougat to chief marketing officer for RAPP US and Tracey Barber to chief marketing officer for RAPP UK.

Both promotions follow the agency’s achievement in winning its three largest precision marketing accounts over the last three years, including Mercedes and Virgin Media O2.

The pair bring with them a wealth of experience and track records of success in their respective markets. Working together, they will be looking to create a globally-unified brand experience and innovative data-driven solutions to clients worldwide.

Previously SVP of client growth, Barber has also held brand management, growth, and marketing roles at IBM, Lenovo, and various agencies within Omnicom, IPG and WPP networks.

“I’m delighted to be partnering with Ludo and the rest of the global management team to deliver on the next phase of RAPP’s journey,” Barber said.

“It’s an exciting time because our offering has never been more relevant than it is today. Clients are leveraging our next-gen precision marketing capabilities, AI, and automation to transform their marketing ops model and customer marketing for the future – helping to catapult them ahead of the competition.”

Gougat, previously president of RAPP West, has worked in CRM media and brand advertising at companies like Wunderman, Universal McCann, and Ogilvy.

Gougat said he was “honoured and excited to be part of the journey”.

“RAPP’s greatest asset has always been its ability to fuse creativity, data, and technology in a way that is truly transformative for our clients – where every customer interaction becomes an opportunity to forge meaningful connections – and I’m looking forward to amplifying our sweet spot to help existing and new clients drive exceptional growth.”

RAPP global CEO Kathy Simmel described Gougat and Barber as the “perfect cross-continent pair to identify synergistic, future-facing opportunities that will create success for both our agency and its clients.”

“Their strategic vision will bolster our ability to implement innovative marketing solutions and achieve substantial results at scale,” she added.
